"Meeting the Moment: Intentional Practice in Complex Times"

National Conference 2026

November 6th - 8th, 2026 | Jacksonville, FL

Join us for the 2026 National Organization for Human Services Conference, where educators, practitioners, students, and leaders from across the country come together to engage with the realities shaping the field today. As human services professionals, we are working in an increasingly complex social, political, and organizational landscape—one that demands clarity, deliberation, and purposeful practice. We are thrilled to announce that this year's conference will take place from November 6th to 8th, 2026, at the exquisite DoubleTree Hilton Jacksonville Riverfront in the vibrant city of Jacksonville, Florida.

This year’s theme, Meeting the Moment: Intentional Practice in Complex Times, centers the importance of thoughtful, grounded decision-making in moments marked by division, strain, and uncertainty. The conference will explore how intentional practice—across direct service, education, supervision, leadership, and systems-level work—can support meaningful impact even when the path forward is not simple or unanimous.

Through engaging keynote presentations, interactive workshops, panel discussions, and peer dialogue, attendees will examine how professionals are navigating complexity while remaining effective, reflective, and responsive. Sessions will focus on real-world challenges, emerging practices, workforce sustainability, innovation, and the future direction of the human services field.

The 2026 NOHS National Conference will feature speakers and facilitators from across the professional landscape, offering space for learning, connection, and critical conversation. Registration includes access to keynote sessions, roundtable discussions, special events, hot-topic presentations, and opportunities to engage with colleagues and leaders from across the country.
