Conference Call for Proposals

The 2020 MACHS conference held at Cazenovia College is requesting proposals for workshops as well as student poster board presentation proposals. The conference will take place March 27-March 29, 2020. Cazenovia College is located in Cazenovia, NY.

The theme of the conference is “Trauma in Our Communities: Prevention and Interventions.”  Each proposal should identify how it relates to this theme.  The workshops will have students, faculty and practitioners so the information should be geared for that audience. Trauma has a very broad definition to include many populations and issues such as PTSD, school violence, addictions, domestic violence, to name just a few. We are looking for meaningful presentations and discussion about the impact of trauma on our communities, on families, on individuals, on schools and other institutions.

Presenters will have access to power point and computers for their presentations.  The time slots for presentations are generally 60-90 minutes. Requests may be made if additional time is necessary for a presentation. For those who will need additional time, please indicate the amount of time needed.

Student Presentations
The student presentations can have a broader scope beyond the conference topic. We are interested in students presenting their work, such as internships, research, projects or community outreach.  The student must be recommended by a faculty member in order to submit a poster presentation.

Time slots for presentations are typically 60 or 90 minutes long. Requests may be made if additional time is necessary for a presentation. For those who will need additional time, please indicate the amount of time needed.

To submit your proposals, save a copy of this document on your computer. Type your responses to the form. Please be sure to enter your name in the presenter information form.  Save your proposal Submission document in MS WORD or Rich Text Format (RTF) and UPLOAD using the "Submit Proposal" button below.  Proposals must be submitted by 02/07/2020 for consideration.
