HS-BCP Student Application
The Center for Credentialing & Education (CCE) announces a new Human Services-Board Certified Practitioner (HS-BCP) application option that offers students the opportunity to begin the credentialing process and sit for the required examination while still in school. This application is for students who will have completed the majority of the academic requirements by the time they test. Previously, students had only been eligible to apply for the HS-BCP credential during a grandparented requirements period.
This new application option is available to individuals enrolled in degree and certificate programs that hold accreditation or member status with the Council for Standards in Human Service Education (CSHSE). Participating programs must be approved by CCE. A faculty member from each participating program will serve as the campus coordinator, assisting students with the application process and submitting completed applications to CCE on behalf of students.
A listing of participating degree programs can be found on CCE’s Web site at www.cce-global.org/HSBCP/Student. Interested representatives of CSHSE-accredited or member programs should contact CCE for more information.
With the number of human services jobs expected to climb rapidly this decade, credentials like the HS-BCP can help students launch rewarding careers. This new option gives students an opportunity to begin the application process before they graduate and helps them gain a head start in today’s competitive job market.
